LOCATION - Lat 41°04'51", long 77°32'59" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Clinton County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050204, on right bank at abandoned railroad bridge, 1.5 miles downstream from Beech Creek, and 4.2 miles downstream from Foster Joseph Sayers Dam.

PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous-record gaging station Jan 1930 to 1995, April 2016 to current year. Non-recording gage July 1910 to Jan 1930. Operated as a continuous-record, annual-peak site (Annual maximum only) from 1996 water year through March 2016.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 559.25 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Oct 1984, water-stage recorder at site 1.2 mi upstream at datum 11.373 ft higher. Discharge records are considered equivalent. July 1910 to Jan 10, 1930, non-recording gage. Prior to September 5, 2023, the datum of gage was reported as 560 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Satellite and landline telemetry at station.
