01548005 BALD EAGLE CREEK NEAR BEECH CREEK STATION, PA
LOCATION - Lat 41°04'51", long 77°32'59" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Clinton County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050204, on right bank at abandoned railroad bridge, 1.5 miles downstream from Beech Creek, and 4.2 miles downstream from Foster Joseph Sayers Dam.
DRAINAGE AREA - 562 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous-record gaging station 1910-95, April 2016 to current year. Operated as a continuous-record, annual-peak site (Annual maximum only) from 1996 water year through March 2016.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 560.00 ft above National Geodetic Datum of 1929. Prior to Oct 1984, water-stage recorder at site 1.2 mi upstream at datum 11.373 ft higher. Discharge records are considered equivalent. Satellite and landline telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey National Streamflow Information Program in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District.
REMARKS - Peak stage and discharge can be obtained by accessing Surface-water: Peak streamflow from the SUMMARY OF ALL AVAILABLE DATA. Record of water years 2014-2016 peak rated good. Records for water year 2018 are good except estimated discharge, which is poor. Records for water year 2017, 2019, and 2020 are good.
