  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -

DISCHARGE: October 1942 to September 1971. October 1987 to September 2002. December 2017 to current year.

GAGE-HEIGHT: August 1989 to September 1990. October 1993 to September 2002. December 2017 to current year.

GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder and a continuous water-quality monitor. Datum of gage is 801.04 feet above the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988.
COOPERATION - Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally good except for estimated discharges, which are poor.  Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-ga_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 12,800 cfs, October 5, 1995; maximum gage-height, 21.83 feet, October 11, 2020; minimum daily discharge, 1.6 cfs, October 8, 1954.

WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 2019 to current year.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD -
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: July 2019 to current year.
WATER TEMPERATURE: July 2019 to current year.
TURBIDITY: July 2019 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Satellite telemetry with continuous water-quality monitor.
REMARKS -
For period: 07/19/2019-09/30/2019: Continuous water temperature and specific conductance records are good, turbidity record is poor.
For period: 10/01/2019-09/30/2020: Continuous water temperature and specific conductance records are good, turbidity record is poor.

Data for parameter code 63680 (turbidity) were collected using a probe with the following specifications: turbidity, water, monochrome near infra-red LED light, 780-900 nm, detection angle 90 +/-2.5 degrees, FNU (Formazin Nephelometric Units). Hydrologic event 9 indicates a routine sample while J designates a storm event sample. Laboratory chemical analyses are by RTI Laboratory, Livonia, MI. Laboratory sediment analyses are by the U.S. Geological Survey, KY Sediment Laboratory. Field determinations of discharge, specific conductance, pH, water temperature, turbidity, barometric pressure, microbiology, air temperature, and dissolved oxygen are by the U.S. Geological Survey.
