LOCATION - Lat 29°54'41", long 82°51'38" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 sec.01, T.7 S., R.14 E., Gilchrist County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03110206, near left bank on downstream side of bridge on U.S. Highway 129 and State Highway 49, 1.7 mi upsteam from mouth, and 8.6 mi west of Fort White.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,374 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1947 to October 2000 (gage heights only), November 2000 to September 2005 (discharge and gage height), October 2006 to September 2007 (gage heights only), October 2007 to current year (discharge and gage heights). Published as "near Fort White (auxiliary)" prior to September 1965.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, index-velocity meter, water-quality monitor, and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is 3.50 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 2.75 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Feb. 11, 1949, nonrecording gage at same sites and datum. Since October 1947 used as auxiliary gage for Santa Fe River near Fort White (station 02322500).
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the Suwannee River Water Management District.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum peak stage of 30.69 ft, Apr. 12, 1948 at present datum.
