Flood flow regulated by five retarding basins upstream from station beginning in 1920 plus other reservoirs. See REMARKS for stations 03270500 and 03272000. Also, low flow slightly regulated by Acton Lake, 25 mi upstream from station on Four Mile Creek. Recharge to the City of Hamilton wellfield is largely induced infiltration from the Great Miami River. Groundwater pumpage upstream from the station is returned to the river as treated waste water 1.5 mi downstream from the station. Also, a small amount of water pumped from groundwater farther upstream is diverted to the Little Miami River watershed through the Montgomery County regional system. This pumpage could affect low flow. The Miami and Erie Canal diverted water from the basin 1.7 mi upstream from station until Nov. 1, 1930, when the canal was abandoned; amount of diversion is not known.

Water-temperature data formerly collected at this site.

Record quality ratings will not be included in the water-year summary for approved records newer than 09/30/2019. Record quality is still being rated internally. For questions about record quality ratings, please send email to gs-w-oh_NWISWeb_Data_Inquiries@usgs.gov.
