LOCATION - Lat 48°24'22", long 97°47'22" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.19, T.157 N., R.55 W., Walsh County, ND, Hydrologic Unit 09020310, in SE1/4 NW1/4, at Homme Dam on South Branch Park River, and 2 mi west of town of Park River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 226 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - DAILY ELEVATION--October 2015 to current year. September 1949 to September 1994, month-end elevations and contents.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of the gage is 1001.07 feet above North American Vertical Datum 1988 (NAVD88) and 1000 feet above National Geodetic Vertical Datum 1929 (NGVD29). Prior to October 1st, 2022, data were published in elevation in NGVD29.
REMARKS -

Reservoir is formed by an earth-filled dam, 865 ft long; storage began in September 1949, dam completed in October 1950 and placed into operation in December 1950. Usable capacity between invert of outlet, elevation, 1,048.0 ft, and crest of spillway, elevation, 1,079.8 ft, is 2,804 acre-ft. Dead storage is 0 acre-ft. Low flows are controlled by two sluice gates, 3 x 5 ft. The spillway, which is 150 ft long, is uncontrolled. The records herein represent total contents. The reservoir is operated for flood control, water supply and pollution abatement during low-flow periods.

Accuracy of elevation records for water years 2015 and onward are fair, except for the 2019 and 2022 water years, when record was good.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum elevation, 1,084.58 ft, April 20, 1979; minimum since first reaching spillway level, elevation, 1,051.22 ft, February 8, 1952.
