LOCATION - Lat 45°06'58.06", long 112°45'01.78" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.19, T.8 S., R.9 W., Beaverhead County, MT, Hydrologic Unit 10020002, on left bank 1.4 mi upstream from Barretts, 2.2 mi downstream from Grasshopper Creek, 8.9 mi southwest of Dillon, and at river mile 2,469.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 2,730 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1279: 1908(M), 1910-12(M), 1929(M), 1935-36. WSP 1559: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1907 to September 1986, October 1986 to current year (seasonal records only). Monthly discharge only for some periods are published in Water Supply Paper (WSP) 1309. Prior to October 1963, site was published as "at Barratts."
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 5,268.17 ft, referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to Oct. 19, 1934, nonrecording gages at same site and elevation.
REMARKS - Some regulation occurs by Lima Reservoir (station number 06012000) and nearly complete regulation occurs by Clark Canyon Reservoir (station number 06015300) since August 1964. Diversions for irrigation occur above station.
