USGS Water-Year Summary 2019
LOCATION - Lat 46°39'23", long 100°44'21" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.26, T.137 N., R.80 W., Morton County, ND, Hydrologic Unit 10130102, on right bank 2 mi southeast of abandoned townsite of Schmidt, 13 mi southeast of Mandan, and at mile 1,297.3 (revised).
DRAINAGE AREA - 191,700 mi². approximately.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1966 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,601.40 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88). National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29) datum was converted to NAVD88 datum using the National Geodetic Surveys VDATUM transformation tool in November, 2017. Prior to October 1, 2017, datum was published as 1,600.00 ft above the NGVD29.

Stage regulated by releases from Garrison Dam (station 06338490) 91.1 mi upstream and by backwater from Lake Oahe.

EXTREMES FOR WATER YEAR 2014.--Maximum gage height, 19.54 ft, March 13; minimum gage height, 11.39 ft, November 22.

EXTREMES FOR WATER YEAR 2015.--Maximum gage height, 19.53 ft, March 14; minimum gage height, 13.23 ft, September 28.

EXTREMES FOR WATER YEAR 2016.--Maximum gage height recorded, 17.72 ft, February 17; minimum daily gage height recorded, 12.33 ft, November 19.

EXTREMES FOR WATER YEAR 2017.--Maximum gage height recorded, 17.86 ft, June 27; minimum daily gage height recorded, 12.32 ft, November 18.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 26.69 ft, July 10, 2011; minimum daily gage height recorded, 7.92 ft, May 30, 1967.
