LOCATION - Lat 37°59'53", long 101°03'37" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.04, T.24 S., R.34 W., Finney County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 11030001, on left bank about 2.9 mi downstream of the diversion structure on the Arkansas River and about 4.5 mi northeast of Deerfield.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Jul. 31, Aug. 1-6, 2019.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2004 to August 2010, October 2010 to current year (seasonal records only). Prior to October 2006, daily discharges less than 4.1 ft³/s have been found to be unreliable and should not be used.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 2,909.40 ft above NGVD of 1929. May 1999 to September 2004, stage only gage at same site and datum.
REMARKS - This ditch diverts water from the Arkansas River for irrigation use. Because of a structural problem with the Parshall flume, daily discharges less than 4.1 ft³/s cannot be accurately measured. No daily discharges are published when this occurs. Satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 106 ft³/s, Apr. 17, 2007; no flow many days each year.
