DRAINAGE AREA - 70 mi². from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection, North American Datum 1983.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Web only: Apr. 30, 2013 through Oct. 22, 2013.
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1996 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1110.85 feet above NAVD of 1988. The NAVD of 1988 datum was determined by a Level II GNSS survey (Reference Frame NAD_83(2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000) ITRF2014 (EPOCH:2022.6046) (GEOID18) by USGS on 8/9/2022 and tied to RM-1. Prior to 8/9/2022 the datum of gage was 1110.48 ft above NGVD of 1929.

10/01/2021 - 09/30/2022: record fair.  Quality of data for other periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center.  Low flows regulated by releases of effluent from the City of Enid water treatment plant, 250 feet upstream.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of October 10, 1973, stage unknown, discharge 81,000 ft³/s, from slope-area measurement of peak flow at Southgate Road, one mile below gage.

WATER TEMPERATURE: February 2012 to current year.

SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: February 2012 to current year.

Accuracy rating of the record for the 2022 Water Year:

WATER TEMPERATURE: Good; many deletions were applied. Data loss was not significant. The sensor was NIST checked on 2/8/2022 before installation, but a cross section survey was not completed within this water year.

SPECIFIC CONDUCTIVITY: Good; Several spike deletions were applied. Multiple fouling corrections were required while no calibration corrections were applied throughout the year. Data gaps occurred throughout the water year but were limited in scale. A cross section survey was not completed within this water year.

Quality of data for other periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center.
