LOCATION - Lat 33°13'09.49", long 95°51'43.90" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Hunt County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 11140301, on upstream side of SH 11 bridge, 0.7 mi upstream from the St. Louis Southwestern Railroad bridge, 1.8 mi downstream from Dunbar Creek, and 3.0 mi southeast of Commerce.
DRAINAGE AREA - 189 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -

Oct. 1979 to Sept. 1991, May 2018 to current year (daily mean discharge). Stage records collected at this site from Nov. 1956 to Sept. 1979 are published in reports by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  PERIOD OF RECORD, Water-Quality.-- CHEMICAL DATA: Oct. 1987 to Aug. 2001. BIOLOGICAL DATA.-- Dec. 1996 to Aug. 2001. RADIOCHEMICAL DATA.-- Mar. 1999 to Aug. 2001.

GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 446.21 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Sept. 1991, datum was 450.00 ft above NGVD of 1929. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - Some records listed in the "Period of Record" for surface water and water quality may not be available electronically. No known diversions. No flow at times. City of Commerce returns wastewater effluent to the stream 1.0 mi upstream from station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Oct. 20, 1971, reached a stage of 27.80 ft. from records published by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
