LOCATION - Lat 38°42'10.95", long 106°59'59.81" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.33, T.15 S., R.86 W., Gunnison County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 14020002, 600 ft upstream from county bridge, 800 ft downstream from Mill Creek, 5.5 mi southeast of Baldwin and 11 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 121 mi².

Prior to Aug. 11, 2021, the elevation of gage was reported as 8,226 ft above NAVD of 1988, from digital map. Prior to Apr. 3, 1942, non-recording gage at present site and datum. Apr. 3, 1942 to Sept. 30, 1950, water-stage recorder at present site and datum.
REMARKS - Water year 2019; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2020; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2021; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2022; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2023; records fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2024; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Diversions for irrigation of 3,850 acres above station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Floods in May 1952 and June 1957 reached a stage of 5.5 ft, from floodmarks (discharge about 1,500 cfs).
