LOCATION - Lat 38°57'52.20", long 119°50'57.55" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.28, T.13 N., R.19 E., Douglas County, NV, Hydrologic Unit 16050201, in Haines Canyon on left bank, 0.55 mi upstream from Foothill Road, and 3.5 mi southwest of Genoa.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3.82 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: The maximum gage height and discharge for water year 1998 was revised on Aug. 2, 2021, based on typographic error.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - 1964 (miscellaneous site), 1965 (low-flow, partial-record site). Oct. 1965 to Sep. 1983, Dec. 1988 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 5,100 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS - Flow slightly regulated by East Peak Lake, 3 mi upstream, capacity of 125 acre-ft. Intermittent pumping of effluent from Lake Tahoe Basin by Douglas County Sewer Improvement District No. 1, occurred from Feb. 1969 to Nov. 1971. Records fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 63 ft³/s, Aug. 05, 1971, gage height, 2.78 ft; minimum daily, 0.38 ft³/s, Oct. 09, 1979.
