LOCATION - Lat 48°31'35", long 121°24'51" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.17, T.35 N., R.11 E., Skagit County, WA, Hydrologic Unit 17110005, Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, on left bank downstream side of bridge wing-wall.
DRAINAGE AREA - 172 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 832: 1936. WSP 1932: Drainage area (at site and datum then in use).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1928 to September 1979, June 2006 to current year. Water temperature May 1952 to November 1963, September 1964, October 1965 to September 1973.
GAGE - Water stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 310.58 ft above NAVD of 1988 (USGS GNSS survey, June 30, 2021). Hydrologic Unit 17110005 Prior to July 1, 1976, water stage recorder at site 1.6 mi upstream at different datum. U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of about 1815 reached a stage of approximately 22.0ft, at site and datum then in use, discharge, 46,000ft³/s. Records for other floods, prior to establishment of station, are given in WSP 1527.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 28,400ft³/s Nov. 7, 2006, gage height, 19.55ft; maximum gage height, 19.80ft Nov. 23, 2017, backwater from debris; minimum daily discharge, 118ft³/s Nov. 30, 1952.
