LOCATION - Lat 21°28'55.3", long 157°50'45.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Honolulu County, HI, Hydrologic Unit 20060000, on left bank 300 ft upstream from Kamehameha Highway, 0.4 miles southwest of Waiahole Elementary School, and 1.8 miles northwest of Kahaluu Elementary School.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3.81 mi². from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated September 2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated May 2008, using UTM Zone 4 projection, NAD 83 horizontal datum.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR HI-12-1: Drainage Area. WDR-HI-13-1: 2002-2011 (P). Gage height and discharge unit value on April 21, 2023 (0622) was revised on July 22, 2024.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

REMARKS - Waiahole Ditch diverts ground water from tunnels upstream of station. Beginning early December 1994, Waiahole Ditch began releasing water into Waiahole Stream.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 11,600 ft³/s June 4, 2011, gage height, 16.35 ft; minimum daily discharge, 13 ft³/s, October 24, 2008 and December 9, 2012.
