LOCATION - Lat 25°24'27.4", long 80°31'27.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.03, T.58 S., R.38 E., Miami-Dade County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, on north side of SR 9336 (Ingraham Highway), and 4 mi southwest of Florida City.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 20 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 17.9 ft, bottom of last opening 20 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 7.10 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: top of casing (considered to be 9.06 ft NGVD), 9.22 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jan. 1, 1950 to Oct. 2, 1995; top of base (considered to be 9.13 ft NGVD), 9.29 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 1, 1995 to Nov. 1, 2003; top of base (elevation computed from NAVD 1988 using VERTCON software), 9.29 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Mar. 23, 2004 to present. See REMARKS.
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1950 to October 2011. October 2014 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger.
REMARKS - On March 23, 2004, the station was resurveyed to a benchmark that provided a NGVD 1929 elevation reference determined from the North American Vertical Datum of 1988, using the VERTCON software of the National Geodetic Survey. The NGVD 1929 datum determined using VERTCON is known to differ from the historic NGVD 1929 elevation datum (historic NGVD). The measuring point for the station has been adjusted by 0.16 ft to the NGVD VERTCON elevation datum. The figures of water level as elevation for the period October 1974 to September 2003 have also been adjusted to NGVD VERTCON elevation datum and are available in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey. The figures of water levels as elevation, in feet historic NGVD, prior to October 1974 have not been adjusted. See DATUM.
