LOCATION - Lat 40°37'09.7", long 105°21'33.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.33, T.8 N., R.71 W., Larimer County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 10190007, in the meadow west of Stove Prairie Elementary School, 570 ft northwest of intersection of Rist Canyon Road (County Road 52E) and Stove Prairie Road (County Road 27), 11.9 mi north of Masonville, and 14.6 mi northwest of Fort Collins.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 2012 to September 2019 (seasonal records only) (discontinued).
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage is 7,380 ft above NAVD of 1988, from topographic map.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - (seasonal only) Maximum daily precipitation, 4.80 inches, Sept. 12, 2013.
REMARKS - Gage operated seasonally, April through September.
