LOCATION - Lat 41°12'24.1", long 75°23'47.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Monroe County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040106, located at Tobyhanna State Park, Pa.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 98 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 59 ft, bottom of last opening 98 ft. Drilled observation well, cased to 59 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,985 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of plywood shelf; MODIFIED DATE FOR AQ MIGRATION; 10/ /1967, 2.6 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 1, 1967 to Mar. 28, 1980; top of plywood shelf, 2.96 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 28, 1980 to present. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1967 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform with 15-minute recording interval. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Water levels affected occasionally by nearby intermittent pumping. Daily maximum water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily mean water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Prior to October 2000, the extremes were based on extremes of the daily maximum depth below land-surface datum. Since that date, the extremes are based on the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, 6.62 ft below land-surface datum, Apr 13, 14, 1994; lowest, 16.87 ft below land-surface datum, Oct 24, 25, 1980.
