LOCATION.--Lat 40°49'28.3", long 73°55'57.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Bronx County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02030101, at Mill Pond Park Alcove 1 in Bronx.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--January 2021 to September 2021.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is NAVD of 1988. Pressure sensor provides 6-minute-interval data. If a water elevation event occurs exceeding 0.05 ft, then 1-second-interval data is collected 30 seconds prior to event and 60 seconds after event occurs.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum elevation, 1.59 ft, Feb. 2, 2021; minimum elevation, -2.83 ft, Mar. 2, 2021.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD1.--WATER TEMPERATURE: January 2021 to September 2021.
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: January 2021 to September 2021.
SALINITY: January 2021 to September 2021.
TURBIDITY: January 2021 to September 2021.
INSTRUMENTATION1.--Water-quality monitor provides 15-minute-interval readings collected from 0.5 ft above riverbed. If an elevation event was triggered then 1-minute-interval turbidity readings are collected for 15 minutes after event has occurred. Salinity record computed from specific-conductance readings.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD1.--WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 26.6 °C, Aug. 27, 2021; minimum, 0.5 °C, Feb. 21, 2021.
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 43,000 uS/cm at 25 °C, Feb. 2, 2021; minimum, 5,180 uS/cm at 25 °C, July 20, 2021.
SALINITY: Maximum, 26.5 psu, Feb. 2, 2021; minimum, 2.8 psu, July 20, 2021.
TURBIDITY: Maximum, >1000 FNU, Apr. 9, 11, 23, 2021; minimum, <0.3 FNU, May 16, 17, 18, 19, July 11, 2021. [>, actual value is known to be greater than the value shown; <, actual value is known to be less than the value shown]
