LOCATION.--Lat 42°56'12.0", long 74°16'52.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Montgomery County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02020005, on left bank at the bike path bridge, 75 feet upstream from the Route 5S bridge, and 0.7 mi upstream from Mohawk River at Fort Hunter.
DRAINAGE AREA.--923 mi².  
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD1.--WATER TEMPERATURE: December 2021 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION1.--Water-temperature recorder provides 15-minute-interval readings.
REMARKS1.--Water temperature may be affected by backwater from the Mohawk River.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD1.--WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 30.7°C, July 13, 2024; minimum, -0.3°C on several days during the 2024 winter period.
