NOTICE (12/31/2019) -- Data collection at this streamgage has been discontinued due to lack of funding.
Although historic data will remain accessible, no new data will be collected unless one or more new funding partners are found.

LOCATION.--Lat 39°13'58.3", long 75°37'56.3", Kent County, DE, Hydrologic Unit 02040207, on left bank, 75 ft below county bridge, 0.4 mi downstream from confluence of
Taylor and Pink Branches, 1.9 mi east of Kenton, and 2.6 mi northwest of Cheswold.
DRAINAGE AREA.--9.35 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--July 1931 to October 1933, April 1943 to September 1957. Annual maximums, water years 1958-75. February 2017 to January 2020 (discontinued).
REVISIONS HISTORY.--WSP 1382: 1932-33, 1943-44(M), 1948-49(M), 1951(M). WSP 1432: Drainage Area.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 16.58 feet above North American Vertical Datum of 1988, from DelDOT bench mark stamped "DOT 4"
NGS PID DG8054. July 1931 to October 1933, nonrecording gage at bridge 75 ft upstream at different datum. April 1943 to August 1951, and October 1957
to September 1975, nonrecording gage at bridge 75 ft upstream from present site at present datum.
REMARKS.--U.S. Geological Survey satellite data-collection platform at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 1,340 ft³/s, Sept. 12, 1960, gage height, 6.45 ft; minimum discharge, 1.0 ft³/s, July 13, 23, 24, 1955.
