LOCATION.--Lat 38°57'53.6", long 76°06'31.8", Queen Anne's County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02060002,
   on right bank at downstream side of eastbound lanes of bridge on U.S. Route 50, 2.0 mi northeast
   of Carmichael, 2.2 mi northwest of Wye Mills, and 2.4 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA.--8.09 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1951 to September 1956. Annual maximum, water years 1957-81. October 2000
   to current year.
REVISIONS HISTORY.-- https://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv/?site_no=01492500: 2019-2020. 
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 5.22 ft above North American Vertical 
   Datum of 1988. June 1951 to September 1956, recording gage at site 30 ft upstream from present site
   at gage datum 9.38 ft higher.
REMARKS.--U.S. Geological Survey satellite data-collection platform at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 1,720 ft3/s, Aug. 28, 2011, gage height, 8.35 ft;
   minimum discharge, 0.67 ft3/s, Aug. 21, 2002.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by Maryland Geological Survey,
   and the U.S. Geological Survey. 
This station managed by the MD-DE-DC Water Science Center Dover office.
