Station gage imageSTATION.--01567500 BIXLER RUN NEAR LOYSVILLE, PA
LOCATION.--Lat 40`22'15", long 77`24'09", Perry County, Hydrologic Unit 02050305, on right bank 400 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 850 at Bixler, 2.3 mi upstream from mouth, and 3.6 mi west of Loysville.
DRAINAGE AREA.--15.0 square miles.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--February 1954 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 601.22 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to May 14, 1954, nonrecording gage and crest-stage gage 400 ft downstream at same datum.
COOPERATION.--Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS.GAGE HEIGHTS OF IMPORTANCE.-
Supplied by USGS: Data transmitter operational limit - 12.8 ft;
Supplied by NWS: No flood stage has been determined for this station.
This station managed by the PAWSC New Cumberland Office.
