USGS 01583600 BEAVERDAM RUN AT COCKEYSVILLE, MD

LOCATION.--Lat 39°29'08.1", long 76°38'44.6", Baltimore County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02060003, on left
   bank of bridge on Maryland Route 45 (York Road) at Cockeysville, and 0.45 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA.--20.9 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1982 to current year.
REVISIONS HISTORY.--WDR MD-DE-88: 1983-87.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 239.70 ft above North American Vertical
   Datum of 1988. Previously operated as a low-flow partial-record station during water years 1955-59
   and 1962-64 at same site. Dec. 15, 1982 to June 15, 1993, water-stage recorder 600 ft downstream and
   50 ft upstream from bridge on Beaverdam Run Lane at gage datum 1.38 ft lower.
REMARKS.--U.S. Geological Survey satellite data-collection platform at station. Water-quality records for
   some prior periods have been collected at this location.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 3,370 ft3/s, July 1, 1984, gage height, 12.10 ft;
   minimum discharge, 2.5 ft3/s, August 19, 20, 2002.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge known, 3,950 ft3/s on July 21, 1956, on basis of
   contracted-opening measurement of peak flow at site approximately 0.25 mi downstream of Maryland
   Route 45 (York Road).
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Baltimore City Department of
   Public Works, and the U.S. Geological Survey.
