USGS 01642198 CARROLL CREEK NEAR FREDERICK, MD

LOCATION.--Lat 39°26'09.7", long 77°26'26.1", Frederick County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02070009, on right bank 200 ft downstream from bridge on Rocky
Springs Road, 2.0 mi northwest of Frederick, and 500 ft downstream of small tributary on left bank.
DRAINAGE AREA.--4.35 mi2, from automated delineation using 30-meter National Elevation Dataset, digital elevation model data, dated December 2011.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--August 2017 to current year.
PERIOD OF RECORD (CLIM).--April 2018 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, precipitation gage, and water quality meter. Datum of gage is 315.71 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
REMARKS.--U.S. Geological Survey satellite data-collection platform at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 2,050 ft³/s, July 8, 2019, gage height, 8.62 ft; minimum discharge, 0.26 ft³/s, Jan. 2, 3, 6-9, 2018;
maximum daily precipitation, 6.38 in., Sept. 1, 2021.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Army Environmental Command and the U.S. Geological Survey.
This station managed by the MD-DE-DC Water Science Center Baltimore office.
