Station operated in cooperation with the City of Virginia Beach, Virginia

During times of frozen precipitation (freezing rain, sleet, snow), the rain gage is inoperative and inaccurate. As temperatures rise, false indications of precipitation occur from melting.
This station managed by the Richmond Field Office.
