STATION.--03062998 MONONGAHELA RIVER AT LOCK & DAM 8(UPPER POOL), AT POINT MARION, PA
LOCATION.--Lat 39`43'42", long 79`54'40", Green County, Hydrologic Unit 05020005,
DRAINAGE AREA.--2,720 square miles.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--September 2010 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Station maintained for stage readings only. Datum of gage is 787.65 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to February 15, 2024, the datum of gage was reported as 788.0 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29) or erroneously reported as 790 ft above NGVD29 depending on source.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Geological Survey.
This station managed by the PAWSC Pittsburgh Field Office.
