Site Information

LOCATION.--Lat 42°32'38.1", long 79°09'52.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Chautauqua County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 04120101, on right bank at bridge on State Highway 20, 0.5 mi upstream from Lake Erie, in Silver Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA.--25.2 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD.--September 2017 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 576.85 ft above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS.--Water Years 2017-23: Records poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 1,480 ft³/s, Oct. 7, 2018 gage height, 7.98 ft; maximum gage height, 10.17 ft, Jan. 22, 2018 (ice jam); minimum discharge, 0.13 ft³/s, Aug. 19, 2022, gage height, 3.69 ft; minimum gage height, 3.68 ft, Aug. 23, 24, 2020.
