LOCATION.--Lat 43°18'10", long 77°48'49" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Monroe County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 04130001, on right bank just downstream from bridge on Collamer Road, 0.5 mi north of Collamer, and 1.5 mi northwest of Hilton.
DRAINAGE AREA.--31 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD.--May 1957 to September 1964, October 1970 to September 1972 (annual maximum only), October 1986 to Septemebr 2002 (annual maximum only), May 2004 to September 2010.
REVISIONS HISTORY.--WDR NY-96-3: 1989-94 (gage height).
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 261.53 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to Oct. 1, 1957, wire-weight gage at same site and datum.
COOPERATION.--Discharge measurements were provided by the Monroe County Department of Environmental Services. Prior to 2003, discharge measurements were provided by Environmental Health Laboratory at Rochester, N.Y.
REMARKS.--Records fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Discharge includes undetermined diversion from Erie (Barge) Canal upstream from station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 1,720 ft³/s, Sept. 9, 2004, gage height, 10.54 ft; maximum gage height, 10.67 ft, Mar. 30, 1960; minimum daily discharge, about 0.01 ft/s, June 10, July 8-10, 2008, result of unknown regulation or diversion. Minimum instantaneous discharge not determined.
