> Site Information
LOCATION.--Lat 40°46'06", long 73°58'37" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, New York County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02030101, at Central Park, 120 ft west of Center Drive, just north of entrance drive from 6th Avenue, Manhattan.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Depth 72.5 ft. Upper casing diameter 3 in; top of first opening 3 ft, bottom of last opening 72.5 ft. Cased to 3 ft, open hole.
DATUM.--Land-surface datum is 56 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of casing, 0.34 ft below land-surface datum, 55.66 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jun. 28, 2005 to Oct. 5, 2010; unknown,, 55.49 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 5, 2010 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--November 2005 to April 2013, December 2024 to current year.
GAGE.--Periodic manual measurements by USGS personnel.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Highest water level measured, 50.51 ft above NGVD of 1929, Apr. 22, 2009; lowest measured, 45.78 ft above NGVD of 1929, Aug. 24, 2006.
