> Site Information
LOCATION.--Lat 40°57'43", long 72°42'57" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Suffolk County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02030202, at Long Island Research Farm, east of Horton Avenue, south of Sound Avenue, Riverhead.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Depth 105 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 100 ft, bottom of last opening 105 ft. Measuring point is 99.94 ft above NGVD of 1929, 0.36 ft below land-surface datum.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--August 1945 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-level recorder installed November 2006; 15-minute recording interval. Periodic manual measurements made by USGS personnel.
REMARKS.--Satellite water-level telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Highest water level recorded, 15.43 ft above NGVD of 1929, June 3, 2010; lowest measured, 8.16 ft above NGVD of 1929, Sept. 5, 1966.
