Important information about this monitoring location
LOCATION.-- on right bank 220 ft upstream from bridge on Sprecher Road, 0.1 mi downstream from unnamed tributary, 0.5 mi southwest of Grimes, 1.5 mi upstream from mouth, and 2.2 mi southwest of Fairplay. PERIOD OF RECORD.-- October 1963 to current year. GAGE.-- Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 354.08 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. REMARKS.-- Low flows affected at times by withdrawals from unknown source upstream of station. The station is located in a unique type of geologic setting known as Karst which may affect conditions relating to runoff characteristics.
